Container Control/ Security Room

• Size and Layout

  The first thing that you should be thinking about when you are designing your converted control room is its size and layout. Our units are available in several different sizes, usually 10ft, 20ft, and 40ft. They can also be stacked on top of each other or joined side-by-side for a larger space.
  This means that you have a great deal of flexibility over the size and, consequently, the layout of your modular office or control/security room. It also means that you can easily extend or diminish your control/security room if you need or wish to. Another bonus of converting is that it will be mobile. As your site grows, you will be able to move it, giving you more flexibility over where the control/security room is based.

• Doors, Windows, and Security

  Containers would ordinarily have a large door on one end where cargo can be loaded, with the rest of it consisting of metal walls, ceiling, and floor. This is not ideal for a control room, but the design team can add windows and personnel doors for ease of access, and also for making it a nicer space for people to spend their time.
  Another consideration that needs to be made around security. Even with doors and windows, the room can be securely locked to help keep the contents safe and secure. Container padlocks offer an excellent way to protect your control room.

• Water and Energy

  Depending on what you are using your control room for, electricity, lighting, and water may also be a requirement. Whether you are looking for somewhere to plug in computers and printers, a kettle, or need a bathroom or sink, these can all be accommodated. These aspects can also be planned during the design process and just connected up when it is delivered to the site.

• Painting, Lining and Racking

  In addition to the layout, you should also think about the interior of your control room. You can add shelving or racking for neater storage and easy access, and can also add a lining to the walls to help with insulation and the reduction of condensation.
  In addition to this, you also have the option of having it painted professionally, enabling you to promote your branding and make the building more visually appealing.
